These are called "Blund Nuts", and you can buy them at any hardware store, or RC Airplane hobby shop. I use them on all of my rc airplanes ✈ .

Dony they sell those the flat one with the hooks for exactly this same purpose. This is like making 1 toothpick out of a ywig, for one use. On one hand it's like, okay you managed to make a toothpick out of a twig... on the other hand, why?

There's so much wrong with this. The washer is going to rust out, the spikes do the same thing a wrench does, a spring washer would do the same thing, there's just so many other better ways to do this...
