To be honest I felt like a kid again. The happiness in me can’t be contained. This release and phone excitement felt nostalgic. It’s like I’m living in 2008 where I was thrilled and happy holding a blackberry or an iPhone. 😊 Carl’s optimism and acceptance to constructive criticism was superb.

Love seeing Carl on camera and having good fun! This vlog just makes me want to design really cool renders, I absolutely love the Nothing Tech and it's design language. I wondered as an iPhone user who uses things like AirDrop, what would be the reason to switch. There are certain things I can do within the Apple eco-system that are just convenient for me, but the Phone (2) looks incredible and I want to know what it can bring to the table that apple wouldn't, especially in terms of productivity and seamlessness that the Apple eco-system offers.

Hope Carl and Team reads this: As a reviewer and mobile user for the past 15 years, I would say people should see the Glyphs as a notification/ light bars split into different zones to give it a aesthetic look with useful led lights for different purposes. Earlier Mobile phones had notification led on the front which was really useful and it's gone now. So, the glyphs on Nothing Phone should be taken as a positive approach albeit a little funky looking. Why not ? Good Luck Carl and Team It's just the beginning 🙌🏻

I think their products are perfect and being developed at the right speed. I compare it to a restaurant that has a 30 page menu of a bunch of stuff options that are just "ok"....but if you go to a Michelin Star restaurant or other high end place they have a 3-5 page menu with just a few things that are really good. You want the food that is really good not the mediocre stuff. Same with a phone/electronics company. So good job!

Seeing Carl overcome one of his major fears has inspired me to consider facing my fear of eventually freeing myself on my lifelong dependence on the Apple ecosystem! I am loving the ideas behind your future vision giving me the same feeling that I had when Apple first took on Microsoft back in the day. I really like the monochromatic colors in the Nothing Phone 2's OS and AOD. It looks really cool at first, but I think it would get boring in regular use cases. I would like to see some more premium colors available, so that I can customize the look of my phone. I understand that Nothing is going for a minimalist aesthetic with the Phone 2, but I think there's room for some more color. Even if it's just a few accent colors, it would make the phone feel more alive. Here are some additional thoughts on the monochromatic colors in the Nothing Phone 2: 1. The monochromatic colors are definitely eye-catching at first, but they can start to look washed out after a while. 2. The monochromatic colors can also make it difficult to distinguish between different apps and settings. 3. A few accent colors would help to break up the monotony of the monochromatic colors and make the phone look more visually appealing. 4. Even if Nothing doesn't add any new colors, I think they could improve the monochromatic colors by making them more vibrant. Overall, I think the monochromatic colors in the Nothing Phone 2 are a good start, but they could be improved with a few more color options or a more vibrant color palette.

I appreciate the way he understands user requirements and strives to provide the best experience at an affordable price. As a part of the OnePlus family with the OnePlus 7 Pro and buds, I am now considering switching to a clean Android OS phone however after being impressed by Nothing OS. The ability to customize icons is something I love, and I am now considering making the switch to Nothing next year. I will give my OnePlus 7 Pro to Carl, the former CEO who played a role in building my great phone. I have been using Oxygen OS for almost four years now. Its completely different now which I'm not interested However, I am looking for a few specific features in the next Nothing device, such as a curved display and a large battery. Additionally, I would prefer the punch hole camera to be located in the left side corner. Carl, I am eagerly awaiting the release of Nothing 3 with these specifications, and I am ready to join the Nothing family.

Hell yeah, great work. I'm so happy to be jumping onboard. I was an OP5 user and an OP7 Pro user. I tried upgrading to a few phones since then but none fit my requirement of minimal but functional software, not since the OP7 Pro on Android 11. Nothing Phone (2) checks all of the boxes and I can even get it locally via the official Nothing ebay store. Pumped! This video was the perfect mix of information about the phone and Carl being shown as a normal human being (lol), but with high standards and big dreams.

Its crazy i overlooked nothing and always ignored them. After watching and understanding what they do, my mind is blown. Whenever i saw "Nothing" or headlines about it being the "iPHONE killder" i would roll my eyes and "say yeah whatever" but now after watching this video, i am hyped like a child about Nothing.

I think what is special about the nothing company is how they're well informed about customers' review and opinions, and addressing that in all their QnA. While also promoting the features and methodology behind their devices

I'm really liking the way Nothing way in terms the way they are doing the promo stuff as these amazing people are doing their product, product promo, etc in very subtle and in an very un-usual but palatable way. Even I don't own a Nothing Phone but I really get impressed with their promo & product and I don have hopes on the Nothing team that they would position themselves in the market in a very outstanding way. @@suryarajendhran3004 camera and battery are solid, with my type of usage (short burst gaming sessions, YouTube, tiktok, whatsapp, etc) I end my work day with about 40% left, for camera I love the 50mp mode as it captures a lot of details

Ive loved your vision and product since i first saw the Phone (1). Unfortunately its really hard to get my hands on a properly priced one in Australia. A design element i would love to see is to have one Glyph sector for important notification to change from a white light for important, to a really beautiful Orange to disseminate between a notification that needs to be looked at immediately. The colours youve chosen in the black and white would rreally suit just one other colour to really POP out that is also rather minimal which suits the rest of the Nothing design. Im sure theres a really perfect hue of range out there that would suit it. I know im just one person with one opinion, but yeah id love to see that. Also better availability and pricing in Australia please :) Edit: Another product that i personally would love is a "smart watch" but stripped back. So many smart watches have useless features and try to get you sucked into the watch rather than just tell me the important happenings of my phone If i had a Glyph watch that just tells the bare basics in an instant (like whether something is important enough for me to get my phone outta my pocket) and without having to navigate super painful UI's and poor touch controls, i think that would be awesome. Like a smaller version of the Glyph interface on the back of the phone (as an AOD) and if i tap the screen it literally just gives me the time and a few options for timers etc. If i were to tap the notification glyph, i can have the text/whatever read out to me through headphones/earphones etc). More connected, without going full send

They should integrate a way to do morse code/flashing light signals into the glyphs and really take communication full circle.

I get that this is a launch announcement of the new phone, but I would love to also hear about the support plans they have for the phone 1 especially for people like me who often consider the previous year model to save up a bit.

This was a great keynote. So much more fun than standing on a stage with fanboys cheering for everything. Got my pre-order in - I thought I was a OnePlus fan but maybe I'm a Carl phone fan (he has been involved in my last 3 phones).

I've been a Samsung user for years. I am so happy that there are companies like Nothing working in the smartphone industry. In the next couple of months I will happily buy this phone.

Solid product with a lot that reigns true - many flagship providers use gimmicks, made up words, and similar diversion tactics to avoid telling you how things have been progressing on a hardware-level but this guy just summed up phones in a nut shell and built a product around the best possible combination of those hardware-level upgrades.

I kinda like my 1's design more. The glyph in it is also better than it, 2's looks much scattered coz of being into fragments. Also 1's flat back looks far more premium than the 2's one. I feel because of the curve the in hand feel is going to be better. Also a request to nothing team - Please do something for the outer bezels in upcoming versions. I feel in the smartphone market you guys make the most unique phones with precisely balanced features😊 Looking forward to buy Nothing Phone 3😅

I've been a fan of Carl since OnePlus. OnePlus for me was a very different phone experience when compared to other common brands. Sadly the OnePlus 7 Pro was my last OnePlus phone, however now there is Nothing, I look forward to a new future with Nothing. Thank you Carl for making unique phones

@@MrCheestr I am pretty sure they will add it to the ecosystem in a year or two. Samsung is a very rich and they would have killed iPhone if they really were being innovative. Nothing is pretty small in comparison to Samsung but still is bringing something new for Android users which has been long due. I see it at the only hope for now. But they really need to work on their pricing. I think their pricing for Phone 2 is not apt. I understand they have more expenses now with R&D the new Software Development team but still it has to come down or else people will only talk about it btu not buy it

I preordered the Phone 2 fully loaded and am proud to support the new company. What I love about Carl is the transparency; Nothing made next to, well, nothing off of the first model. They most likely won't make much off of the new model AT FIRST, but as he explained in another video, that's the downside of being a small company trying to break into a monopoly market. You literally make Nothing Inc. seem like a bunch of people working out of a garage, and that's something people can relate to and get behind. I hope the Phone 2 is a runaway success. 😎

It would be cool to see OS get a prezi style to it. I have no idea how it would work but it would be super cool to have an interactable background where apps can be placed about, instead of just a stagnant swipe from one page to the next it could be a seamless flow while you scroll with your finger. If that worked then you could get moving backgrounds that change perspective like in Antman when they are decreasing in size and going into the quantum realm, granted this is more of a zoom in example than a swiping example. Or think about having a sphere and your apps are placed on it and as you swipe the sphere rotates to relieve more apps.

But, I think this vision is more appreciated by the tech lover type of people which are mostly watching this channel or video. The question is how to expand this vision for the average people that maybe don't the fun side that Nothing is presenting?
