I got to admit having done some of these things here and there.. watching them done in fast forward is much more satisfying than doing them personally. I did learn quite a few things, as always.

Reminds me of my job, years back, at DQ. I made blizzards better and faster than my coworkers. I used physics, mostly. The blender was just a spindel hanging from a motor. So, you had to hold the cup while it blended. Moving the cup counter to the rotation of the spindel gave better control than trying to hold it still. Allowing me to get everything mixed; and I used the centripetal force, as the spindel slowed, to remove ice cream from the spindel, simultaneously pushing it into the cup. Everyone else was scared of the thing and getting splattered with ice cream. They pulled globs out with the spindel, that needed replaced and stirred in with a spoon. I had to teach a new hire my tips. So, they would let me off the blender.

@Ryan Strope I was simplifying the perceived effects for sake of time. Regardless, yours is a good explanation for anyone reading this.

@Zachary Sheetz They screw it up because it's because a cultural word EVERYONE knows but no one questions. I had a science teacher who was almost fanatical about people NOT using centrifugal in his class I've never forgotten the epic lesson when one of my classmates uttered the words centrifugal force

@Zachary Sheetz there are only two true forces at work. Inertia which is the object rotating about some points desire at any time t to continue in a straight line tangent to the circle (that's the outward force though technically it's orthogonal not truly outwards). The force that prevents the object from continuing straight like inertia wants to do is pulling inwards towards the point of rotation that's Centripetal force. Centrifugal "force" is the perceived observation of the two actual forces mentioned above.

@Ryan Strope It's ok. That was more on me misunderstanding. New question, fictional? How do people screw that up? You spin and there is an outward force; and it is easily demonstrated. I'm not trying to be arrogant. However, I am legitimately confused at how there is confusion. Could you give me an example?

@Zachary Sheetz sorry I was praising you for not using the fictional centrifugal force like SO many people do when they are explaining rotational physics. That was describing my reaction to people that don't use the proper terminology.

I worked grinding welds on various metal products before they got painted decades ago for a while and was so precise that my coworkers commented my work was superb. I learned early that being good at your job, whatever the job, will mean you always have work and get paid as well as that job pays. Pay is just a side benefit of being good at whatever you are doing.

Amazing to see a job done right. Hired supposedly pros to put on my metal roof and of course couldn't get satisfaction when it leaked seeing this now I know the skipped steps too late for this roofing but can ensure next time it's done right. When you are willing to pay for the skill it's their lack of honor that shows they don't care they cut corners.

As someone who's job is doing landscaping, it's so wonderful to see blue collar work be appreciated. Like yes it is this satisfying (excluding edger guy because that client is a sadist) and yes please appreciate us more and pay your bills on time with tip please.

That's not what unskilled labour refers to. It's a legitimate description of some labour. (I feel like a better term could be used, though.) It doesn't mean that the person doesn't or shouldn't make a living wage.
